Day Two Brings Top Notch Beers Tunes
Much like how dark clouds loomed over the brew fests first day, they did again on the second. Thankfully, this time around thats all they did, with nothing coming in terms of rain other than a brief early afternoon sprinkle that quickly subsided with the rockin’ sounds of Ashley Heath & Her Heathens and Abby Bryant & The Echoes high octane sets. Bryant, the 2019 winner of FloydFests On The Rise band competition, dazzled the crowd with performances of original Had To and the Black CrowesJealous Again.
Following those two fiery performances, Arlo McKinley took the stage to bring the crowd down to size with his mix of sad songs both old and new from his upcoming album This Mess Were In, out July 15. Leading things off was Stealing Dark From The Night Sky, the cathartic first single from his forthcoming project before diving into older favorites like We Were Alright and Die Midwestern. Despite the somber, emotional ballads, McKinleys poetic presence radiated throughout the crowd, bringing people together through the shared experience of struggle portrayed in his music in a way that few others can match.
Bringing the brewfest to a finale was bluegrass champions The SteelDrivers. Known as the group that gave Chris Stapleton his starting off point, the trailblazing act has been innovating and amazing fans ever since and their festival-closing set was no exception.

Saturday will be the day of the tasting with music throughout the day and until 10:00 PM.

North Carolina Brewers And Music Festival Is Back
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. Historic Rural Hill Farm hosts the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival in Huntersville from May 6-7.
Let the festivities begin! Your favorite beer and music celebration is around the corner.
After a COVID-induced hiatus, the locals can once again enjoy camping on the grounds of Rural hill farm.
Visitors will finally get to enjoy the highly anticipated music lineup. Some music performances include Acoustic Syndicate, Abby Bryant And The Echoes, Katie Pruitt, and many more.
There will be several vendors and delicious options for local foodies.
Tickets purchased in 2020 will be honored, including camping passes.
Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6 for music only. Saturday, May 7, will include both tasting and music until 10 p.m.

Nc Brewers And Music Festival Cancelled
To make the transition from this year to the 2021 event as seamless and exciting as possible, we have already worked with our artists, our brewers, and our vendors to make sure that we are able to carry over this years lineup and infrastructure to next years festival date. In addition, we are also in conversation with Eventbrite regarding the best options we can offer you when it comes to making a choice about how your ticket investment plays out.
Because this decision affects you as much as it does us, we will offer full refunds of all ticket purchases to any of you who would prefer that option. We understand the inconvenience that this change might cause you, and we ask that you offer us your patience while we organize that process. As another option, we would also like to offer you the opportunity to retain your ticket purchase and to roll it over into next years attendance. Any ticket that has already been purchased for 2020 will be honored at our 2021 festival in lieu of a refund. That is a choice we are allowing you to make, and we will be delighted to have you back as our guests then!
Please check back with us often as we continue to plan for the 2021 North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding, but mostly for your continued support at the festival. North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival will celebrate its long-awaited 10th anniversary at Historic Rural Hill in Huntersville, NC on May 6-7, 2022. The annual event, which pairs live music with craft beer and community, will welcome GRAMMY-winning bluegrass mainstays The Steeldrivers, English-born Americana trailblazer Jade Bird, critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt, regional newgrass pioneers Acoustic Syndicate and Larry Keel Experience, and a variety of additional performers to its stage this year.
Along with a rich Americana lineup, North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival also shines a spotlight on local brewers and their contribution to North Carolinas vibrant culinary scene. Over 50 breweries offering a selection of craft beers will be featured on-site throughout the weekend. Tasting tickets, which include access to beer samples plus a commemorative sampling glass, are available for purchase for $50 .
North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival began as a fundraising effort to preserve the historic site of Rural Hill. The site, which boasts extensive hiking trails, is a beloved landmark in the Central NC region and is home to many educational field trips and events. Since its inception, the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival has continued to support the awareness of Rural Hill and attract diverse crowds from all over the country.

Keel Kicks The Festival Off
The events first night, dubbed as more of a laid-back pre-party, featured all things Larry Keel. The wildly underrated guitar picker from Virginia kicked off the event with an abbreviated set with his main project The Larry Keel Experience, featuring wife Jenny on bass, Will Lee on banjo and Jared Pool on mandolin. A lightning storm cut the set short after only a handful of songs, but Keel reemerged after a brief delay with Acoustic Syndicate, who were affectionately introduced as Keel Syndicate, with ASs frontman Steve McMurry absent due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Together the hastily thrown together group thrived while jamming to their hearts content through harmonious renditions of Bob Marley & The Wailers No Woman No Cry, Pete Townshends North Country Girl and Keels own Miles & Miles, the title track from his debut 1997 album that featured Acoustic Syndicate on its original recording.
To cap Friday night, Keel returned to the stage with members of both his band and Acoustic Syndicate for a Larry Does Jerry set honoring the music of The Grateful Deads Jerry Garcia. The tripped out and string-laden set included everything from Garcia-penned delights like Tennessee Jed to others the band frequently covered like Eric Claptons After Midnight and everything in between from Garcias illustrious career.

Celebrating more than 250 years in history Rural Hill is the former homestead of Major John and Violet Davidson. The 265-acre site is maintained and promoted by Historic Rural Hill Inc. and features annual events such as the Loch Norman Highland Games, the Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze, the Rural Hill Sheepdog Trials, and the NC Brewers and Music Festival.
