Skip Prime Membership But Still Get Free 2
If you arent interested in the music, kindle ebooks, and other services included in Amazon Prime you can always skip the membership entirely.
Instead, if you spend over $35 on eligible purchases you still receive free, 2-day shipping. Depending on the retailer you might have to spend $75 or even $100 to receive the free, 2-day shipping.
Also, if your item is under the limit but you dont want or need to buy anything else try this trick. Find an item that is pre-order and not yet available on Amazon.
Add this item to your cart to get past your threshold but you wont be charged for this item until it actually ships.
If you dont want the item simply cancel that part of the order to make sure you arent charged.
I wouldnt recommend doing this too frequently but its a great option if you need the 2-day shipping without spending any more money.

What Is Amazon Music
Amazon Music is actually comprised of four different subscriptions, each with various features and music libraries. Here are the basic differences :
- Amazon Music Free: Does not require a Prime membership. Similar to Pandora, its just playlists and stations with ads. Limited to one device at a time.
- Amazon Music Prime: Included with your Amazon Prime membership. Two million songs, playlists, stations, and no ads. Limited to one device at a time.
- With Amazon Music Unlimited: Requires a subscription outside of Prime. 60 million songs, playlists, stations, and no ads.
- Amazon Music HD: Requires a subscription outside of Prime. Same library as Music Unlimited, but with songs in HD, Ultra HD, and some in 3D studio sound. No ads.
Amazon Music Prime is a good middle-of-the-road music streaming service. It doesnt have a huge library of music like Spotify or Apple Music, but two million songs is decent. If youre a casual music listener who doesnt want to subscribe to an additional service, this is a great deal.

Amazon Prime 30 Day Free Trial
Yes, Amazon makes it simple for you to get addicted to using with a 30-day free trial option. Amazon got me on this offer over 5 years ago and I couldnt imagine life without the membership service now.
The membership has saved me so much time not going to random stores, enjoy free returns, and quick shipping options. Plus, the customer service has been amazing!
To get started simply log on to Amazon Prime and sign up for the free 30-day trial. After your monthly trial is over you can choose whether or not you want to become a Prime member.
You can pay this fee monthly or a one-time, annual fee. The cost of an Amazon Prime membership is $119 per year.
As someone who has more than 100 orders per year, its still well worth the price.
If you choose not to enroll for Amazon Prime after the 30-day period sometimes they will give you another 30-day free trial. I havent tried this method but read about it in several forums.
A few days before your Amazon Prime membership is set to expire log into your account and cancel the service.
Amazon will email you and ask if you would like to try another 30-days for free! Simply click Yes and enjoy another 30 days of Amazon Prime for free!
If you dont think its worth it or you cant afford Prime at this point the back to back free trial is a great option.
Ive also read of tons of people doing this around the holidays to make gift shopping more convenient.

Both services share the same interface and apps, and offer similar features like the ability to download songs, albums and playlists for offline listening. The main difference between the two offerings is the number of songs you have access to. Amazon Prime Music has two million songs in its catalog, but paying the extra for Amazon Music Unlimited gets you access to 50 million songs, including the majority of new releases.

Before we begin dissecting exactly how you can get free Amazon Prime we’ll run through all the added benefits of the upgraded membership. Here are the best perks of Amazon Prime:
Shipping Costs
With Amazon Prime, you receive free two-day shipping on over 100 million items and free one-day shipping on over 10 million items. Without Prime, two-day shipping costs about $10. Place enough orders, and the money really starts to make a difference.

Perhaps one of the best perks of Amazon Prime is Amazon Photos. Amazon Photos is a storage service like Google Photos, which lets you save and share your photos and memories. With Amazon Prime, you can save unlimited photos and get access to 5GB of video and file saving.

Amazon Prime Music Vs Spotify: Compatibility
Spotify and Amazon Music could be made available mostly through portable apps, tablet computers, Desktop computers as well as Mac OS systems. You could really install almost all software from the Google Play Store as well as the Apple Store both for Android and iOS platforms. You could also register for subscribers via applications.
Spotify often provides amazing Spotify Connection, a functionality that is accessible to premium users who would like to connect straight to their TVs as well as monitors. It’s a very great suggestion for several AV and Hi-Fi items like Sonos Devices. Spotify is also popular with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and that you could activate it by saying “Spotify” once asked.
Amazon Music is generally accessible for Fire tablets including Fire TVs, and also some BMW even Mini in-car remote controls, as well as Sonos Portable Speakers including Bluesound or even NAD BluOS computers. As planned, you could also stream the Amazon to Echo devices, not even to Google Assistant.
The Refreshing Is Annoying
I really like this app but I have tried an tried to find out why every time I get a phone call or I go out of my app when I push pause on my music an go back within minutes it goes an refreshes the whole app. Im literally in the middle of a song so what is the purpose of refreshing the app I tried to just start putting the music on an old phone I have thats just for WiFi but even that if Im closer to it an pause it, you cant leave the app longer then a minute it seems without it just thinking your not coming back or something. An the other issue is it constantly takes random music that i do listen to often out of my music list. Ill add a song to my music an sometimes a playlist too, an Ill be listening to the song randomly later on a station that I choose an Ill go an decide to add it to a playlist an see that its not even in my music. So Ill add it again. Ive only notice it since like I said Ill decide to add it to a playlist an see it has the plus next to add music. But why is it constantly coming out of my music. I have checked an seen that most songs still be in a playlist but not added to my music.. again not understanding these little things. But Please please fix. The little things add up to annoyance when its continuously acting up..

How Does It Work
Amazon currently is finding ways of seeing what you listen to as a way of growing your library. For example, while working with the , if you have an incomplete album that is currently in the Amazon Prime Music service, with just a click you can complete that album. In the future, this will also mean an increased number of ways Amazon can offer you with accurate recommendations. This isnt something Amazon has at the moment, and their current library may not make this currently a possibility, along with the fact that the service is just now starting to roll out.
Speakers And Voice Assistants
As an Apple Music subscriber, you can use Apple’s Siri voice assistant on your iOS devices as a personal DJ to control song playback, queue up songs, find song facts, add songs to your library, play your favorite playlists, or even play something new. Getting Amazon Music to work with Siri requires the use of Siri Shortcuts, and even then it isn’t guaranteed to work and it lacks many Siri skills exclusive to Apple Music.
If you own any of Amazon’s Echo speakers or an Amazon Fire TV, then you can tap into the company’s Alexa voice assistant, which offers many similar DJ skills as Siri does for Apple Music. All Amazon Music Unlimited subscription plans work on Amazon Echo and Fire TV devices. In the U.S. at least, Apple Music can also be set up to stream on Amazon Echo devices, but it’s not as seamless and you won’t get said Alexa skills.
On the other hand, Apple’s HomePod speaker is made to be used in conjunction with Apple Music. In fact, one of the main uses for Siri on HomePod is to control your Apple Music collection. There are Siri voice commands for accessing content like playlists, genres, moods, liking or disliking songs, playing more music based on something you’ve heard, starting a new radio station, and much more. None of these functions will work with an Amazon Music subscription you can stream audio to HomePod from a device running the Amazon Music app, but that’s it.
