How To Make a Music Playlist on YouTube 2020
Spotify provides a much easier way to create playlists than any other platforms. Once you access the main interface of the site, youll find the option to create a playlist right in the left-hand side pane on your screen.
- If youd like to add a song to a playlist, play the song on the Spotify web version, click on the three-dots next to the song name, and choose Add to playlist.
- Either create a new playlist or add the song to an existingone. The choice is entirely yours.

There are thousands of premade playlists that can fill those needs, but often they just arent personal enough. Even the playlists being automatically created for us each week by our music services sometimes arent quite right.
So how do you nail the perfect mix of songs every time? How do you make a playlist that hits just right for that special occasion? We talked to four music lovers inside and outside the music industry, some of whom work at Spotify and Pandora, and here are their tips.
Create A Smart Playlist With Itunes Or Pandora
The nice thing about iTunes is that it has a lot of great filters. You can use them to create a Smart Playlist.
What types of Smart Playlists can you create? Here are some examples:
- Album tracks instead of single hits
- Holiday or seasonal songs
- Songs that nobody has listened to in a while
- Most popular songs of the year
There are millions of songs on iTunes. You should have no trouble using their filters to create multiple Smart playlists.
Pandora recently announced that they will be allowing their users to create smart playlists as well.
If you think about the solutions that have been offered to date, theyve essentially been on demand, CEO, Tim Westergren said during the announcement. We really dont believe thats the right answer you see all the symptoms of a product thats not meeting peoples needs yet.

Play Your Youtube Playlist As You Work
If you want to work, play games, or do other things while playing songs or videos in a playlist, keep YouTube open in another tab of your browser.
If you’re playing YouTube videos using the YouTube smartphone or tablet app for iOS, the video stops playing if you switch to another app unless you’re a YouTube Premium member. However, the Android YouTube app keeps the video in a small pop-up window as long as it is not in the Music category.
Add Songs To New Playlist
On the free version, the next window will include an Add Songs button. Tap that to search by title, artist, or genre. I created a playlist called “Songs that make me weep.” I wanted to add “Without You” by Harry Nilsson to that list, but I couldn’t quite remember his last name. So I typed “without you harry” in the search box, and the correct one popped up. I then tapped the plus sign to the right of the title, and that song was added to my weeping playlist. After I added it, the app produced a list of similar songs, including “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen and “Mandy” by Barry Manilow these seemed very appropriate for the list, too.

Step : Customize The Format

Take these steps to create an M3U playlist in Windows Media Player.
Step 1. Create a new folder on your computer and move the needed audio files to the folder.
Step 2. Open the Windows Media Player and drag the folder into the Unsaved List section.
Step 3. Then, you can rearrange these audio files by dragging an audio file up and down.
Step 4. Click on the drop-down menu at the top right corner and select the Save list as option.

Dailymotionuses a similar approach as YouTube to let users create a playlist on theplatform. You just need to find the video you want to add to a playlist, clickon an icon, and you are all set.

How To Access Your Youtube Playlists
To view all public YouTube playlists, follow the steps below.
- Click Your channel.
- Make sure you’re logged in to your YouTube account.
- At the top-left corner of a YouTube page, click the YouTube menu icon.
- In the YouTube menu, click the Show more option.
- Your playlists are displayed below the Watch later option. Click the desired playlist to view the songs and videos in that playlist.
- Click a song or video to play, or click the Shuffle play icon to play a random song or video.
- Tap the overflow menu .
- Select Add to Playlist.
- Enter the name of your new playlist and tap Save.
- Select Library.
- Tap the menu next to the playlist you wish to edit.
- Tap Edit.
- Drag and drop the songs in the desired order.

- artist:Taylor Swift This will obviously show you all tracks from Taylor Swift.
- track:love This will give you all tracks with the word love in them.
- album:Loveless This will list the album Loveless. It is perfect if you know exactly what you are looking for and dont want a bunch of unrelated albums showing up in your search.

How To Add Your Own Music To Spotify On Computers
Spotify desktop client supports to import music from iTunes automatically. And it is same for the Windows Media Player.If you have already import your songs , then you don’t have to do anything else. But if your tracks are located in different folders, please follow the steps to add them to Spotify.
Step 1. Launch Spotify app from your Windows or Mac computer. If it is the first time you use it, please sign in with your account name and password or sign up a new account.
Step 2. On the top of the software main screen, you will see the downward arrow icon, just click it and select “Settings”.
Step 3. Scroll down the settings window until you see the “Local Files” menu. You should see the sources of music “iTunes”, “Downloads”, “Music Library”. If you don’t want then to show up, just switch the toggle buttons off.
Step 4. To add a new folder of songs, please click “ADD A SOURCE” button. Then browse to select the folder where you saved your local music and click “OK”.
Step 5. You can go back to the main menu of Spotify and click “Local Files” and you should see the music you imported. Note: Spotify only supports to import MP3 and MP4 music files. If your files are in other formats or with DRM encryption, they won’t be supported.

Sync Spotify To Iphone/android
You can connect your mobile devices to your computer through USB cable or Wifi. Then your iPhone or Android phone will show up on the “Devices” tab. Next, you can click the button “Manually choose playlists to sync”. And then select the playlist of your local files. It may take a while to sync depending on how many songs you added to the playlist. Please just be patient for it to complete.
Streaming & Editing Playlists
To stream a playlist click the green play button next to the desired list in the Playlists tab.
To edit the name and/or description of a playlist, click the pencil icon next to the desired playlist.
To see the list of tracks in a given playlist, click the playlist title. From this view you can play individual tracks, re-order the tracks, and delete tracks.
