The most obvious choice, at least if you dont want to use small speakers, is to invest in the Sonos series of products. Just about every Sonos speaker can be linked together, creating a rather awesome home theater system.
Thanks to the versatility of the Sonos app, you can even link third-party services to be work and be controlled with your voice. This includes the ability to play Apple Music via Alexa with your Sonos speakers. Today, were going to walk you through the steps that need to be taken in order to turn this into a reality.
When Is Apple Music Coming To Amazon Echo
On last Friday, Amazon has just taken a bigger step forward and expanded the music selection on Alexa by announcing that Apple Music is coming to Amazon Echo smart speakers starting the week of December 17. That means Apple Music subscribers will be able to play Apple Music on Echo seamlessly with the Apple Music skill installed in the Alexa app.
Make Apple Music Alexa’s Default Music Service
To avoid having to say “…on Apple Music” each time you ask Alexa to play something, make Apple Music Alexa’s default music service by following these steps.
While Apple Music can be controlled via Alexa, the feature is limited to Amazon’s own Echo devices at the current time. In the future, Amazon does plan to expand Apple Music availability to other Alexa-enabled third-party devices.

How To Stream Itunes From Offline Storage
You dont always need an internet connection to listen to your favorite iTunes. Say you still have plenty of purchased songs on some of your mobile devices or Mac, or PC. You can also use Alexa to play those iTunes.
What do you need? A Bluetooth connection between your Echo speaker and the device where the songs are stored. Of course, some minor Alexa app configurations.
Make sure both your devices are Bluetooth enabled by going to the Settings menu on your Mac or in Windows. From the menu, search for Bluetooth and ensure that its on.
Get your phone and give Alexa the following command: Say Connect to a new Bluetooth device.
Enable the Echo connection on your device when prompted.
This allows you to play your iTunes from your other device and have the audio come out of the Echo speaker. Therefore, you wont be limited to hearing your favorite music in just one room. As long as the connection is stable enough of course.
You can also connect your iPhone or Android device to your Echo using the same steps.
Is There An Alternative
Amazon Echo devices work best with Amazon Music. Theres no doubt about that. So if you notice a drop in quality when streaming from another music platform, know that theres another route you can take. If youre an Amazon Prime subscriber, you already have access to millions of songs for free, without having to sign up for an additional subscription. While you cant transfer your iTunes library to Amazon Music, you may be able to stream many of your favorite songs without any work on your end.

Stream Apple Music With Alexa
If you jumped on board the music service streaming train, you may be using Apple Music to get your favorite tunes. Luckily, Amazon and Apple have designed their services to work together seamlessly. If you have an Amazon Echo device, take these steps to set up Apple Music within the Alexa app on your Android or iOS device.
This tutorial assumes you already . If you haven’t done that yet, take care of it before continuing with these instructions.
Open the Alexa app on your smartphone. If you don’t have it yet, here’s the Alexa app for iOS and the Alexa app for Android.
Select the Settings option, then Music & Podcasts.
Select the Link New Service option.
Select AppleMusic from the service options.
Select Enable to Use, then log in with your Apple username and password.
To set Apple Music as the default streaming service, go back into the Music & Podcasts menu and select Default Services. You can choose a default app for the commands “Alexa, play music” or “Alexa, play a rock station.”
That’s it! Just ask Alexa to play a song, album, artist, or playlist, and it will access your Apple Music library.
Restart Your Echo Device
First off, you want to restart your Echo device to ensure any recent changes made in the Alexa app apply to your Echo device. Perhaps that could cause the issue youre experiencing.
To restart your Echo device, unplug it from the power source and wait for about 10 to 20 seconds and then plug it back in.
Next, force-quit the Alexa app on your phone and open it again. Try playing Apple Music again to see if it works.

How To Play Apple Music On Alexa Using Bluetooth
If you’re looking for a quick fix, use your Bluetooth to connect Alexa to your Apple device to play your music. You won’t be able to enjoy the 3D experience of spatial audio from Apple Music using Alexa, but you can still play your favorite artists.
This will only be available for as long as you have your Bluetooth enabled and the two devices are connected. It’s more of a short-term solution than having the constant ability to play Apple Music from your Alexa device.

Here is how you can set the two up using Bluetooth:
Alexa will usually play a chime to confirm that your device is indeed connected and you can start playing your Apple Music.
You can control the volume using both Alexa and your personal device. Whenever you are done, make sure to disconnect Alexa. You don’t want it automatically connect when it’s not convenient.
To do this, say “Alexa, disconnect from ,” and your Echo will automatically disconnect. Alexa will give you a confirmation when they are disconnected.
Upload Apple Music To Amazon Music
Once installed, open the app, then drag and drop the converted Apple Music songs from your computer into the Upload selection in the right sidebar under Actions. Or you can select My Music at the top of the screen.
Next, select Songs, and choose the Offline filter in the right navigation sidebar. Click the upload icon next to the music you want to upload. You can see uploaded music, and music that’s uploading by clicking the Uploaded filter in the left navigation sidebar.
Once the Apple Music songs are imported to Amazon Music, you can play them on Echo or Echo Show speakers with simple voice command via Alexa.
Note: You can upload up to 250 songs to My Music for free. To upload up to 250,000 songs, you can switch to an Amazon Music subscription.
