Skid Row Fashion Week

Designed by Skid Row Fashion Week

Designing this collection was super exciting for me because it gave me an opportunity to illustrate my perspective, meshing Skidrow Culture with Coachellaâs iconic name. I wanted the collection to be playful, yet serious. To show some of the disparity that happens in the inner city and juxtapose it with a psychedelic bright aesthetic. The key to me was nostalgia. Growing up collecting festival merchandise, I was always excited to get my hands on a rare piece from some festival from the â70s or â80s. The goal was to create art that would jump off the shelf and have young concert-goers feeling excited to get their hands on something that truly held nostalgic value. Skid Row Fashion Week incorporates a âGive Backâ component, which goes directly towards supporting our staff, all of whom have lived on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles. Look close enough and youâll notice that elements of the clothing truly embody the spirit of Coachella while faint remnants of Skidrow are found in between. Website |

gave this a 5 star because of harry styles and weekend 2?!!! HELLO he brought out shania twain?!!!! AND HE SANG MEDICINE

    One day is ENOUGH!

Traffic galore due to roads closed. Taking Uber? Expect two hr bumper to bumper when it should only take half… Having left an hr in advance. Expect to park far. Expect to walk. Walking gets you there faster! And once you reach the vacinity, expect to walk more!!! The entry path is ridiculous! Golden Boys make very good money. They need to fix the entrance path. RIDICULOUS! Expect sore feet and possible blisters. Great artists. But 2 to 3 playing at the same time. The. you have to choose who to watch and one may only just sing one song. And no cash accepted at the food vendors. Estimate $12 to $20 EACH food or drink item. Good luck! One day os enough!

    Coachella is quite an experience…
