Restart The Music App

Im posting this because some of you might not know this remote app ...

Its always best to start with the easy stuff, and nothing is easier than shutting down the Music app and re-opening it.

You need to remember, though, that clicking the red dot in the top left-hand corner will NOT close the app it merely minimizes it to the Dock. To close the Music app properly, you need to right-click the app icon in the Dock and select Quit.

If youre having problems with the Music app, though, you may not be able to close it with the Quit command. You may have to Force Quit it. To do this, right-click on the app icon again, and eventually, the Quit option will be replaced by Force Quit.

Alternatively, open Activity Monitor, find the Music app, highlight it, then click the X icon at the top, followed by Force Quit.

When the Music app is completely closed, re-open it and see if it now works.

Fourth Solution: Reset Network Settings On Your Iphone Xr

Network problems are also among the underlying causes. Apple Music works by communicating with the Apple server to carry out requests and input processes. To make this happen, a stable Wi-Fi internet access is needed. If your iPhone is experiencing some network problems, then theres a tendency for Apple Music to fail as it wont be able to connect to the Apple server. And thats when you need to deal with network-connectivity issues first. The quickest possible solution to network problems on an iPhone is a network settings reset. This clears out all your current network settings, wireless radios, APNs, server settings and other relevant information along with unwanted caches and errant data. Heres how it works:

  • Tap Settings from your Home screen.
  • Select General.
  • Scroll down to and tap on Reset.
  • Select Reset network settings from the given options.
  • If prompted, enter your device passcode to continue.
  • Then tap the option to confirm.
  • After the reset, your iPhone restarts by itself and then loads the default network options and values. This means the need for you to set up and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Once your iPhone is connected, retry loading Apple Music and see if everything is working properly.
